SHIPPING & OFFSHORE FINANCE
CIC specialises in the financing of shipping and offshore assets and container boxes, providing senior secured debt, limited and non-resource financing and French tax leases. Leveraging on the experience and global expertise of the Asset Finance & Securitisation team in Paris, the Shipping desk in Singapore started in 2003, covering the Asia Pacific region in key active markets such as Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea and Japan.

CIC originates, structures and provides financing solutions for project finance transactions globally. Working in close collaboration with the Project Finance team in Paris, the team in Singapore has been actively involved in major project finance transactions in Asia-Pacific since 1995.

CIC is a lender to both WestConnex Stage 1 (M4) and WestConnex Stage 2 (M5) toll roads, which form the larger WestConnex toll road network in Sydney, Australia. CIC is the original lender to WestConnex prior to its acquisition by a consortium led by Transurban. CIC strengthened its commitment to the Project after the acquisition.
Limited recourse financing to the second largest gateway to Australia, funded by debt capital market and bank loans.
Melbourne Metro Tunnel
The Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project, one of the largest transport infrastructure projects undertaken in Australia, comprises the construction of two new 9-km rail tunnels through the heart of Melbourne along with five new underground stations. The twin-tunnels will transform Melbourne’s rail network into an international-style metro system, improving connectivity with the central business district (CBD) and key growth areas. CIC was awarded the IJGlobal Asia-Pacific Transport Deal of the Year 2017 and abbr>PFI Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Deal of the Year 2017 for its Mandated Lead Arranger role in the Project.
